Fishing
Fishing is a special method to obtain items without battling, mining or exploring. Instead, fishing is a mini-game that can be played next to any body of water.
How Fishing Works
For fishing to be available, stand next to or above a water tile while having a fishing rod in your inventory. You obtain your first fishing rod after talking to the Fisherman a few times. He will also explain fishing to you. You can repair your fishing rod for 1 wood, or if it breaks, you can make a new one at the dock.
Fishing is started by either pressing z when indicated to do so, or pressing c if the fishing rod is equipped. After casting the line, wait until the text "There's something on the line!" is displayed. When prompted, press the button indicated, repeating until complete. Pressing the wrong button will result in failure to catch anything.
Listed below are the items available. The abundance shows how often the item will be hooked, and the higher the difficulty the more button prompts are required for success. Difficulty can be offset by upgrading the fishing skill or eating sushi.
