Obtaining

Red Berry Bushes

Similar to berries, red berry bushes can spawn on various islands and harvested for 1-2 red berries.

Red Berry bush growth stages

Red berry bush growth works similarly to berry bush growth stages except that red berry bushes have 5 growth stages each taking 10 seconds to progress, meaning it takes 40 seconds from the moment you harvest a red berry bush until it is fully grown again.

Red berry bushes can spawn on the following islands:

Starting IslandEastern IslandSunset HavenThe HeightsUndeveloped IslandIce IslandTerraformer IslandDivider Island(right side)

And can be planted using a red bush seed Seed.PNG on any fertile land.

Snowy variants only appear on Starting Island, Eastern Island, and Ice Island. You cannot plant a snowy variant bush with a seed, so the only source of them are the ones that spawned naturally.

Just like snowy berry bushes, the snowy variant of the red berry bush takes half as long to move on to the next growth stage cutting down the total time to 20 seconds until fully grown

Usage

Alchemy

Red Berries are used to make Attack potions Attack potion.png in the Laboratory. More about attack buffs from the berries and the potion in the Tips section.

Tips

UIQuest.png

The attack buff from Red Berries is very powerful early on, providing a 50% bonus to steel sword or doubling the damage output of an iron sword (assuming you have yet to get any attack upgrades in the skill menu). This buff can make very difficult fights at the beginning like the Adult Dragon in the mountain on the Starting Island much easier.

If you have a surplus of red berries, rather than taking the 5UIHealth.png damage, you can turn 4 red berries into one attack potion in the Laboratory. This is a very easy recipe to keep up with since it does not require DragonbloodDragonblood.png like most other recipes in the laboratory. not only does an attack potion not deal self damage when consumed, the attack buff from an attack potion lasts twice as long than that of a red berry. This means that you are only effectively spending 2 red berries to remove all self damage from the buff.

By the time you are prepared to fight the Adult Dragon in the mountain for example, you should have quite a few red berries saved up and it will most likely be beneficial to turn them into attack potions.
